Jerrymara
Gerrigong
Now, i’ll start this one off by saying that Jerrymara is not easy on the hip pocket. It’ll cost you $1,650 a night. But hey, it’s worth it.
Jerrymara is a huge rural property that’s close to some amazing beaches. So if you’ve got the cash to splash, it’s definitely a great spot to base yourself while you explore the Illawarra region.
Jerrymara comprises of a lovely main homestead of three bedrooms & a modern rural two bedroom cottage. In total Jerrymara’s 5 bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to 11 guests.
The cottages are set within a verdant country garden settled within Paul Bangay inspired formal manicured grounds including an all-weather flood-lit ‘Classic Clay’ tennis court, a beautiful mosaic tiled 12-metre saltwater swimming pool and space for family or friends to take time and soak in the rural atmosphere.
Outside the country garden is a further 50 acres of calming rural space where you can stroll, picnic or relax. There are magnificent views up and down the Illawarra coastline from the upper paddocks at Jerrymara and easy access over the farm. It is well worth the hike with a bottle of wine to the top paddocks, to watch the sun set over the valleys with an almost 360 degree view. Please be cautious approaching any cattle or wild animals on the farm.

You’d be hard-pressed to find an average person on the street who wouldn’t jump at the chance to jump in some A-frame accommodation.
JR’s Eco Hut has had plenty of press coverage over the years, and why not? The thing has 360-degree views of the amazing NSW farmland surrounding the property, and it’s completely off-grid as well.

The Shed At Broger’s End
Kangaroo Valley
I get a lot of people coming to The Local Rag looking for accommodation options in NSW’s Kangaroo Valley. Unfortunately, CABN’s Arabella cabin is no longer in the area. But if you’re looking for a great regional Airbnb in NSW, then The Shed at Broger’s End in the Kangaroo Valley is definitely one to look at.
Another converted machinery shed, The Shed costs $384 a night to stay there, and will sleep 7 guests. So round up a crew.

Lean over and pick herbs from the garden and collect the free range eggs from our chickens to add to your sumptuous dinner. There is an outdoor fire pit and outdoor bath just outside The Shed – perfect for adventure seekers.
The Shed includes three large bedrooms, two of which have king size beds – both can be made up into two king singles if required. The third room has a queen and single (bunk bed style). All beds are fitted with electric blankets and thick quilts in winter.
