Dairy Flat Farm and Lodge is a new travel destination brought to you by the Wolf-Tasker family, the geniuses behind Daylesford’s Lake House.
You’d be hard-pressed to look for a reason to knock back and offer for a weekend trip up to Daylesford and the surrounding region. But now, there’s just another reason to add to your list of things to do once you’re there.
The farm spans across 38 acres of prime Victorian farming country and features an extensive kitchen garden, vineyard, olive grove, and an orchard planted with 350 heritage fruit trees.
In late December, the lodge will open. Available for weary city-dwellers to occupy and get away from the hustle and bustle at least for a night. The lodge features a cellar, is filled with custom-made furniture, and is big enough to accommodate up to 14 guests.
To celebrate the launch of Dairy Flat Farm and Lodge the team is having an open day on Saturday 7 December.
They’ll be running tours of the vegetable and cutting gardens, and guests will be free to wander around the lodge, orchard, and other parts of the estate.
Resident baker Michael James will be serving up bread and pastries that are available alongside coffee and other refreshments at the on-site Bake House.
All proceeds from the day will go to the Daylesford Primary School kitchen garden project of which Alla Wolf-Tasker AM is a founding patron.
